Mission

We believe that our faith calls us to be God’s hands, feet and voice in the world. In response, we seek to care for those who do not have enough in our immediate community, and around the world.

BSPC not only works in direct service in a food pantry, homelessness prevention program, and after school tutoring program, but through its social justice committee, seeks to educate and address root causes of poverty in our neighborhood. BSPC also witnesses to the presence of our God in Jesus Christ across the globe. It coordinates mission trips, educates the congregation about global and national ministries, and administers mission funds. The congregation provides direct support to three global mission partners in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Peru, and Malawi through prayer, advocacy, financial resources, and personal investment of individual time and gifts.

God desires for all to have enough. We take this call seriously. We seek to feed the hungry, help people stay in their homes, and partner with them to change life situations.  Along the way, we meet God and experience the Spirit working in the world. In our active witness, we hope that others come to know the love and justice and peace God desires for us all.
